Weight Commander

Sometime ago I posted information about a program for download named Weight Commander. It is a program that I have used on a daily basis for quite sometime to track the fluctuations of my weight. I am aware that Weight Watchers does not recommend daily weight measurement, but I have weighed daily for too many years to count!

This week I was contacted by Michael Marder, the creator of Weight Commander, with a new weight loss aid. I was so enthusiastic about the new tool that I wrote him asking permission to share this information with my mailing list. The only thing I was not able to determine was that the new tool was absolutely free to anyone. (My first thought was that it might be available only to those who had purchased the original program.) I believe it is a free tool. Let me explain.

Here is his letter to me:

Hi:

It's Michael from Weight Commander. I have put together something new
that I think you will like.

It is an on-line version of Weight Commander. It can be accessed
no matter which computer you are using. And it's especially great if you
are tracking carbs, or calories, or points - or keeping a record
of what you eat each day.

You can try it out for free. It's at:

www.weightcommander.com/online.html

Let me know if you like it. It was a lot of work but I think
you'll see it's a great tool and will help a lot.

Michael

After you register at the site listed above, you are sent a link for your personal record space. On your page, you are prompted to enter your weight. (You could enter that on a weekly basis, if that is your preference.) The information is used to create a graph of your progress. From that first page, there are additional links to allow one to track daily consumption of points (or carbs or calories.) This information is accessible by you for 30 days from any computer. I see that as a tool for working people who have internet access.

There are additional links to good ideas, a place to record shopping lists, snack ideas, and "Michael on..." with his diet suggestions. I have bookmarked my personal site as I am often (?) online and it will be handy.

Hope this is a tool you can use.

Reminder: Recipe ideas? Share with us anytime at WW Friends. I recently posted The Day-After Soup. Have you tried it or changed the recipe to make it your own? Let us know!

Recipe index: Recipes for Success

Nutritional information is based on all information available to me at the time of publication. I now calculate points using the 2004 Weight Watchers information. Verify that your ingredients yield the same results. I usually choose to use light rather than nonfat products. Some items, such as cheddar, I use the normal product as noted, as my preference. Optional ingredients are not included in the calculation of calories or points.

A weeks' worth of humor and other things can be found at Linda on the Web.
